 Digital Signature and online Authentication

A digital certificate is a document that you use to prove your identity in message or electronic transactions on the Internet. The digital certificate is obatained from a trusted third party like MTNL TrustLine.  


   MTNL has become a Certifying Authority and would be issuing digital certificate to its clients for secured and reliable transaction over MTNL’s WebCare Portal. It provides MTNL's clients to prove their identity online, thereby eleminating the need to be physically present while registering for a service.

Digital Signatures - They are used for authentication of any electronic record by a subscriber by means of an electronic method or procedure in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of the Indian IT-Act 2000.


Minimum Software Rerquirements Windows ME or Windows 2000 with SP4 or Windows XP with SP2, I.E 5.5 and above, with 128 bit cipher strength and scripting with ActiveX controls enabled.


What is a Digitally Secure Login?
This Login is for MTNL's Digital certificate holders. MTNL has become a certifying authority and is issuing Digital Certificates to its clients for secure and reliable transactions over MTNL's Web Care Portal. This provides a platform whereby MTNL users can remotely avail any services from the internet, which includes telephone connection, shifting, STD/ISD request etc. without having to visit the premises.
